51吃瓜黑料 Hosting Information Sessions for National Cybersecurity Awareness Month

Free sessions address ways to increase security and protect against Internet threats.
October 7, 2019, Jersey City, NJ 鈥� 51吃瓜黑料 (HCCC) Information Technology Services Department will host a series of information sessions on cybersecurity. The events have been planned as part of the College鈥檚 commitment to National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NSCAM).
NSCAM was established by Presidential proclamation in 2004, and has been formally recognized by Congress; federal, state and local governments; and leaders from industry and academia. The initiative is designed to maintain a cyberspace that is safer and more resilient, and that remains a source of tremendous opportunity and growth for years to come. 51吃瓜黑料 is a NSCAM 鈥渃hampion鈥� in the growing global effort to promote the awareness of online safety and privacy.
The free sessions, which are open to the general public, are as follows:

the College鈥檚 Gabert Library, 71 Sip Avenue in Jersey City;
- 鈥淪ecure IT: Make Your Home an Internet Refuge鈥� on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 12 noon
in Room 505 of the HCCC Culinary Arts Conference Center, 161 Newkirk Street in Jersey
City;
- 鈥淧rotect IT: Your Personal Information is Like Money鈥� on Tuesday, October 22, 2019
at 10 a.m. in Room 103 of the HCCC STEM (Science, Technology and Mathematics) Building,
263 Academy Street in Jersey City;
- 鈥淧rotect IT: Your Personal Information is Like Money鈥� on Wednesday, October 23, 2019
at 10 a.m. in Room 301 of 2 Enos Street in Jersey City;
- 鈥淧rotect IT: Make Your Home an Internet Refuge鈥� on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 12
